A New Obsession: Soap Making!
My new found passion has nothing to do with style sheets or opensource software. It has to do with bubbles – lots of creamy, fragrant, bubbles!
I started making my own soap back in April, and for the past months have experimented and tweaked my formula with various oils and goodies, and have developed with I think is an awesome shower experience!
It will be Spring before I’m ready to start selling my wares, but I love talking about it, so be ready! I’ll also be changing this theme – we’ll still have roses, but I think I’m going to get rid of that keyboard….

I stumbled upon this post completely by mistake, and I am so glad I did!
I have always really, really wanted to make my own soap. There is a particular shop I go to that makes fantastic soap, and I always think “I wish I could make this”

Maybe some day soon. I’ve been really busy and haven’t made a batch in a while, but I’ll post a photo tutorial soon on the hot process method of making soap. Thanks for commenting!

Loulie, what version of WordPress are you using? I just looked at your site, and it appears that you sorted it out?

be careful if you are making from scratch rather than just melting soap to make new shapes – it can be dangerous to make from scratch!

Yes, definitely one should be careful working with lye. I got a tiny burn on my finger from a single crystal that dropped onto the counter without me noticing.
