Magento is way ahead of anything else built for ecommerce.

And yes.. The learning curve is pretty important.
I have experience (years) in templating and modifying osCommerce.
Still a lot of time needed to learn the Magento inside :)

Anyway, I encourage you all to use it for your projects.</description>
