WordPress 2.7 Compatible Themes

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

All of the Garden’s themes are now upgraded for WordPress 2.7 – that took me way too long, but I was like the keystone coder trying to get them ready. Little things kept going wrong – using the wrong screenshot, wrong tags, little style bugs (mostly in IE, damn it). I’m about to upload an update to Daisy Gray to fix the text widget styling. I need to slow down!

Still, I absolutely love making new WordPress themes. Right now I’m working on a very pretty (but not too girly) theme – look for a screenshot in about a week’s time. Famous last words…I’ll get it done before 2010, I promise!

WordPress 2.7 coming!

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

The first release candidate for 2.7 is out, and I’ve installed it on my dev server for testing. So far, so good! Also out soon is SimplePress forum’s new version, so it looks like I’m going to have a busy holiday.

As soon as the final version is released, I’ll be releasing the updates for Coronado, Green Apples, and Tickled Pink themes for WordPress 2.7, and have a fresh theme in the works. I’ve completed the Photoshop and template and am piecing it together with 2.7RC1.

On all themes, comment layout will change, to a more aesthetically pleasing look for the threaded comments.

On backwards-compatibility: Security demands that you keep your software updated. If you want 2.6 versions of the three themes already released, download them now. All themes from the Gardens will be for the latest version(s) of WordPress, which will soon be 2.7.

Bug Fix Update for Green Apple Theme

Somebody slap me! I released a theme that was not quite ready. There were a couple of bugs in the CSS, which I fixed, and I also added tiny little arrows in the post navigation bar. The menu was not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer 6 (it’s always IE6!) and that should now be resolved.

My apologies for any inconvenience caused!
